General Questions

Can I leave and re-enter the festival?

For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, Zootown Festival allows re-entry until 5:00 PM each day. After 5:00 PM, anyone who exits the festival grounds will not be permitted to re-enter.

Please plan accordingly and make sure you have everything you need before returning in the evening. This policy helps us maintain a secure environment during peak hours and ensures the best experience for everyone.

Is the festival family-friendly?

Absolutely! Zootown is perfect for all ages. One adult ticket grants entry for one child aged 7 or under. All children aged 8 and older must purchase their own ticket. Please note that this does not apply for Platinum Tickets or Cabanas.

Ticketing

Are there discounts for children?

Yes! One adult ticket grants entry for one child aged 7 or under. All children aged 8 and older must purchase their own ticket. Please note that this does not apply for Platinum Tickets or Cabanas.

Are there discounts for locals?

Yes! Locals-only tickets are available at Rockin Rudy's. Only 2-Day & Single Day GA tickets are available this year. These tickets cannot be purchased using our Layaway plan and must be paid for in full. There is a limited amount of Locals-Only Tickets so get yours while supplies last. Rockin Rudy’s is located at 237 Blaine St. in Missoula, MT - 406.542.0077.

Are tickets refundable?

All sales are final; this is a rain-or-shine event.

How do you get Pre-Sale access?

You must sign up for SMS or email updates in order to access the Pre-Sale. Buyers from last year are included automatically.

When do tickets go on sale?

Pre-Sale began at 10AM MT on 11.21. The 2026 Pre-Sale lasted for 3 hours, until 1PM MT. Remaining tickets for Zootown Festival are on sale now!

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online via Front Gate. Tickets are only available on the Front Gate site; beware that the festival is not responsible for purchases from other platforms or sellers.

Event

Are chair rentals available?

Personal chairs are prohibited from the festival grounds, but don't worry, there's no need to lug your own chair - conCHAIRto has you covered! Reserve a comfortable, festival-ready chair here, and it will be waiting for you just past the security checkpoint. Enjoy the convenience of a designated seating area at  the Trailhead Stage, ensuring you have a great view for every performance.

*Please note: a limited number of free chairs will be available within a designated area inside the Trailhead Stage VIP section. The Lookout Stage VIP section is located in the Grandstands and offers fixed seating.

Are pets allowed?

Only service animals are permitted at the festival.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Outside food and beverages are prohibited, but we have many great options.

Can I rent a locker for personal use during the event?

Absolutely! You can stay hands-free and hassle-free with a personal locker for the day or weekend. Each locker comes with unlimited access and a charging port so you can keep your phone juiced and your valuables secure. Perfect for merch, layers, or anything else you don’t want to carry around. Lockers are available for rent here.

Does the festival have merchandise or other goods for sale?

Yes, the festival will have an assortment of festival and artist merchandise available for purchase on-site, as well as local vendors and artisans.

What items are allowed?

To help create a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, please review the guidelines below. All guests are subject to security screening upon entry.

Allowed Items

  • Small bags (no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”)
  • Blankets (max 6' x 6') – allowed only in designated GA areas
  • Clear bags (encouraged, not required)
  • Non-aerosol sunscreen
  • Empty reusable water bottles
  • One factory-sealed water bottle per person
  • Personal-sized hand sanitizer
  • Sealed, single-serve hydration or electrolyte powder
  • Personal-sized, battery-operated misting fans (max 1.5L empty bottle)
  • Battery-powered portable phone chargers
  • Food and drinks for young children (parents only)
  • Medically required food or supplies
  • ADA service animals (with documentation)
  • Factory-sealed Naloxone/Narcan kits
  • Camelbacks - Must arrive empty. No more than two pockets excluding the pocket holding the bladder.

  • Blankets (up to 6' x 6') are permitted only in designated GA areas at the Trailhead and Lookout stages.
  • Blankets are not allowed in VIP areas.

Personal chairs are not allowed inside the festival.

Seating Options:

  • VIP admission includes complimentary chairs in designated VIP viewing areas (first come, first served).
  • GA guests may rent chairs through our official partner, conCHAIRto.
    • Chairs may only be used in designated Blanket & Chair zones.
    • Rent online in advance or at on-site kiosks

The Lookout Stage also features a covered grandstand with free seating for both GA and VIP guests (first come, first served).

🏥 Medical Exceptions
Guests with medical conditions may bring required food and supplies (e.g., insulin, EpiPens, inhalers). These will be inspected at the gate.

Will cash be accepted at the festival?

No cash will be accepted anywhere on-site. To keep lines moving and transactions simple, we’re only accepting digital forms of payment across the entire festival - that includes all bars, food vendors, merch booths, shuttle services, and the box office. Please come prepared to use a credit or debit card, or a mobile wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes, enjoy a wide variety of local food trucks, craft beers, full bar and non-alcoholic beverages that are available for purchase throughout the festival.

There will be free water stations at the festival located throughout the site. You may bring one factory-sealed or empty water bottle to the festival.

The Missoula Fairgrounds – 1101 South Ave W, Missoula, MT 59801 is centrally located and accessible by car, bike, festival shuttles, or public transportation.
